unfounded hopes

in some cases even with the greatest caution it is impossible to protect them until they grow up. while others resist every storm, defy all probability and statistics, and survive. there is no real answer as to what when why.

Margit street

When walking along the Margit street up from the former bookshop of the Balassi publisher, I have been often watching these two little houses trapped between the larger ones, with the old, slowly falling gate between them, as they are being chewed to the stump by the time. I have not known for a long time that a very long belt land is running up the hill behind them, as far as Gül Baba’s Türbe. Since last summer I also know that something very exciting is in preparation here. Exactly what, will soon turn out, as Margit street nine has been in a complete bustle in the last weeks. The events can be also followed on facebook, and in the near future I would like to report on them.

The photos are from the community’s fb site; those with a name are taken by Tamás Bujnovszky.

1st of April

the spring works quickly, when the wind is blowing, it is blowing fresh foliage, not just bare branches any more these days we had no time to do anything. gardening will be next time the week after Easter, and then a lot of work at once. this afternoon I have pruned some bushes and made a quick photo of most of our plants of the last year

from the ordinary cornels this is the strongest one, but not really symmetrical

the smoke-bush is waking up

just like the red-leaved one (unfortunately my phone does not know where to focus, sorry)

all buckthorns we have planted have beautifully put roots

the kousa dogwood was apparently pruned well, it has lots of such triple branches, I am expecting so much what it will become
